We were about to sit down to a game of Pitch with the Beans when I noticed one the scariest spiders I have ever seen out of captivity.

It was very hard to get a good shot through the glass.

We sent Mr. Bean out to deal with the spider, he was against killing it.

After a lengthy battle the spider was presumed dead, and we hosed the living tar out of the doorway with some strong bug killer. I jokingly wondered if it was the nuclear testing done out in New Mexico years ago that lead to the very large arachnid, but then while weed-whacking I accidentally hit this mystery bug, and guessed that the spiders are just trying to keep up.

I hit this thing with the weedwacker while tending to the "lawn" late one evening.

I don't know what it is, but it's almost the size of an iPod Nano (3g).

Slide Rock State Park

We took a day tip up to Slide Rock State Park in Sedonna, it was about a 2 1/2 hour drive. Slide Rock is a river/creek with natural slides formed in the beautiful red stone. One are is deep enough that people were jumping of a ledge into the water we chose to just wade in the more shallow areas. J and Zane jumped in a few times, Zane was so excited to go in the water that we were afraid he was going to jump in w/his clothes and shoes on. The water was cold and it was only 78-80 degrees out that day so we didn’t stay long, we enjoyed our lunch and headed into town to check out some shops and the beautiful scenery and then we headed home. We did make a quick pitstop at the outlets in Anthem so I could do a little shopping and made it home form a late bedtime around 9 pm!
