Another month gone!  It only means it’s closer to the day I have to go back to work!  I wish we were independently wealthy so I could stay home with my two boys and just volunteer when I got bored!!  A girl can dream can’t she!  My official first day back to work is July 16th.  BOO HOO!

Zane and Logan are doing great!!   Zane has really filled the role of “big brother”!  He is so protective of his little brother if Logan starts to cry he goes to him and says “baby” and tries to hug or kiss him, and if J or I are in another room he will come and get us to take care of “baby”.  He is also becoming a true big brother and is already trying to tell Logan what to do!  For example Logan is a thumb-sucker but for some reason big brother Zane does not like him sucking on his thumb so if he catches Logan with his thumb in his mouth he yells at Logan…”BABY”…and rips his thumb out of his mouth!  It was cute the first 10 times but unfortunately Logan is usually sleeping so he wakes right up and Zane will hold his hand so he can’t put it back in his mouth so Logan won’t fall asleep.  Zane also did not like it the first time I gave Logan one of “Zane’s” rattles to play with, he stole it from him and proudly announced “MINE”.   We are working on the whole sharing thing…I don’t think “sharing” is part of a toddlers vocabulary but he’s getting better at it every day!

Logan is growing like a weed!  He was 15 lbs 3 oz and 24 inches at his two month check-up!!  He is so alert and he just watches everything Zane does.  He is holding on to objects when you put them in his hand and he watches and follows people when they are talking to him.  Logan is such a good natured baby, he entertains himself and is so easy to calm when he does get upset.  He is already sleeping through the night at least 7 hours.  Lucky me!!  He went in my parent pool for the 1st time on June 12th, he kicked and kicked and had a grand old time!!  He also loved watching all the fish at Mystic Aquarium, we went with the two boys and my parents on June 11th, see the pictures at the photo gallery!

Zane is doing wonderful with is speech.  He is saying so many words I can’t even list them all!  He now calls me “mommy” and J “daddy” instead of mama and dada.  He calls his grandpa “PA PA” it was “poppy” for a while but pa pa has stuck and grandma is

“AM MA” or “NANA”.  Sometimes he gets so excited when he is trying to call someone’s name it’s “MA PA”.  He is still going to playgroup every Thursday morning; he has so much fun when he’s there.  When we get there if other kids are already there he looks at me and says “bye”.  The other day we were playing with his cars and he pulled out a blue truck and said “pa pa” and yes his Pa Pa does have a blue truck!!  For some reason maybe because they are all over his room Zane is literally obsessed with the moon.  He asks for it every night and even during the day and if he sees anything shaped like a moon he gets all excited and starts shouting “moon, moon, moon!!”  His room has stars and moons on the walls so he will take people to his room and show them all the moons even the one that’s “idding” (hiding) behind his toy box.
