Try To Ignore The Gorilla In The Room
Posted by The J on Oct 03 2008 | Tagged as: 2008, Photos
This one time, Danielle decided to rent a gorilla suit to surprise Kenny Jr. on his birthday. Sadly, I couldn’t find any pictures of the moment she showed up at the YMCA to bring him his cake. I do however have pictures from some of the fun we had at home. (Note: at the time we had three cats and Dan living with us.)
- So that’s who’s writing all those posts for the The Carbonneaus.com
- Gorillas have terrible personal hygine.
- Checking in on the cats.
- Iggy DID NOT like the gorrilla.
- But he was very daring.
- and after all, it did smell like Danielle
- It must be dark inside that thing.
- But I think she’s loving it.
- Strike a pose…
- I’m ready for my close-up!
- Sneaking up on Dan in the bathroom, after midnight.
- Gorillas are well known for their lack of civility.
- Dan knows there is something up…
- But did not expect to find this hot little number waiting for him this evening.
At Last…Our Home!

Here they are, pictures of our home!! Here are the facts it’s 5br/2.5 bath with a Loft/game room, a great room and a 3 car garage. It’s just under 2800 SF and currently most of the rooms are empty or in boxes still! The house was foreclosed on so we got a great deal but there was some work to be done! The previous owners tore out the old granite counter tops as well as the garbage disposal, garage door opener and destroyed a door trying to “break” in. J installed a new door, a garage door opener, new locks throughout the house, he installed the dishwasher and installed the microwave including venting it to the outside (its kinda scary to come home from work to see a hole in the outside wall of your house and your husband and father standing there w/power tools& smiles!) We fixed walls and painted the kitchen, it was originally red but we were not sure how it would go with the black counter tops so we picked a gray to make a nice monochrome color pallet but ended up w/ a slate blue, we are happy with it and overall just love our kitchen! After we moved in the boys room was our next focus, we gave them a Spidey themed room that they just love!
We still have a lot of work ahead of us, the pictures you are seeing are from before we moved in a few are more recent. We need to landscape, the lack of water for 90+days killed the grass and a tree in the back yard but we’ll work on it when the temperature stays under 100! We’ve met one of our neighbors they are a super friendly family and there are a 3 and 5 year old who live there so the boys are pretty excited! Hope everyone enjoys the tour of our home, it is still a work in progress that we will continue to share w/you all!
